Our Vision
AYU is an Irish based, Irish owned Company set up by makeup artist Suzie O’Neill.
The name “AYU” is derived from an Indonesian word meaning “very feminine, beautiful”.
Our Ethos
At AYU we do not test our products on animals and only use wood from regenerated forests for the handles of our brushes. All AYU Cosmetics are Vegan Friendly and we are currently in the process of removing all plastic from our packaging.
There's 'Nothing To Fix'
In a world shaped by social media, filters and constant comparison, women are told every day that something about them needs fixing.
Too many lines. Too much texture. Too much age.
At Ayu, we believe something very different.
Your skin is not a problem to solve. Fine lines, wrinkles and lived-in skin aren’t flaws, they’re evidence of laughter, resilience and a life fully lived.
The beauty industry has spent decades convincing women that aging is something to fight, hide or correct. And somewhere along the way, women were made to feel like they become invisible as they get older.
We don’t believe that.
We exist to ease the pressure to be perfect. Beauty should feel supportive, not demanding.
At Ayu, we believe women deserve to be seen at every stage of life. Confidence, beauty and presence don’t disappear with age, if anything, they deepen.
While many beauty brands continue to centre youth, we believe women with lived-in skin deserve the spotlight just as much.
Our products are designed to be effortless, confidence-boosting and empowering, helping women feel comfortable in their own skin, even on days when confidence doesn’t come easily.
Because there was never anything to fix in the first place.
We do not become invisible.
